I know this picture was taken from a distance, and it may be difficult to distinguish between the horses. What caught my eye was that all the geldings, Gal and Ricky in the background, Chip and Ruairi in the foreground, were snoozing while only Aussie stood guard. The grizzlies in these parts are known to be ferocious and the heffalumps occasionally come down from the mountains to maraude. But today was peaceful, with just lazy, snoozing geldings and the ever watchful Aussie to keep them safe.
